A proud member of the Pet Professional Guild (GB), and all training in class is positive and reward based. Kathryn is a member of ITD, & ISCP and has had dogs all her life and currently owns a Golden Retriever.
Kathryn has been involved with various rescues and dog training since 2002. Indeed, she was heavily involved in front line rescue for over 10 years, here she gained valuable “Real life” experience.
She has rehomed hundreds of dogs into their new home. In fact, she still helps local rescues with home assessments, assessing dogs before they go to their new home, and helping at fundraisers.
She was always interested in how a dogs mind worked, and the training methods used in teaching dogs. After completing her written training course with the ADTB, she travelled out of town to attend weekly training classes. Later, she passed a practical assessment, in order to gain the “Accredited Gold Level Instructor” status.
She has also given talks to local community groups, on all aspects of Dog Training, and why it is so important to train your dog.
The training classes at Four Paws use fun and effective ways to train your dog .The classes are run in a friendly manner, as dog training should be as much fun for the owner as it is for the dog.
